wheels

I just picked up my e92 m3 yesterday. love driving it! It's Alpine white with black interior. I told teh dealer I was going to put black wheels on it, and he told me I would lose performance. that I should just powdercoat mine. I'm sure there are wheels out there that are better than the m3 wheels right? Any help would be appreciated.

I see that you're a new member and this is your first post. You should get familiar with some basic rules and etiquette. I suggest you review this first (http://www.m3post.com/forums/announcement.php?f=72&a=2), and don't forget that you can always search the forums. This is a hot topic and there are probably hundreds of posts on this subject. Good luck.

No you will not lose performance they were just trying to scare you? Idk. Look at companies like hre, bbs, advan, or rays. Those are considered the best quality wheels for our cars. Search up because any question you have will be answered here most likely

You will only lose performance if you put Trak Spec wheels on.

We've got plenty of track cars and race cars running our APEX wheels, so I don't think you would necessarily hurt the car's performance by switching out wheels unless you get heavier wheels than OEM. If anything, it will improve performance if you get a quality lightweight wheel that shaves off a good amount of unsprung weight.
