great video.
As a huge Ferrari/Schumacher fan, I do not think he was that hard to pass if you were faster. I do not think MS put up huge fights to prevent being passed. Not like Senna who held the field off the entire race! It was just rare for someone to be slightly faster than Schumi. Schumacher also said he knew it would be time to retire when there were youngsters that were as fast or faster than him. I wonder what must be going through Alonso's mind? LH is clearly faster in the same car. I was really a huge Alonso fan until I saw what an errogant a$$ he was this season. Just drive faster and quit your bitching! |

I cannot see Alonso staying with McLaren...
At the apparent request of the Spanish motorsport federation, the FIA will assign an official exclusively to oversee the treatment dispensed by McLaren to both its drivers during the season-ending Brazilian Grand Prix. Teammates Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso will enter the decisive race separated by just four points, and amidst insinuations from the Spaniard that he was deliberately sabotaged by the squad in qualifying for the Japanese Grand Prix – Alonso was a significantly 0.7sec slower than Hamilton, and his front tires were later found to have been overinflated. "Yes, it's true that the FIA will have a steward making sure that nothing wrong happens to Fernando, especially in qualifying, which is where there have been more complaints or strange situations in the last few Grands Prix," Spanish motorsport federation boss Carlos Garcia told his country’s AS newspaper. "On October 3 I had a meeting with Max Mosley where I showed my concern over the situation that Fernando is going through, which is no secret, and he reassured me. "Honestly I think the treatment in this final race of the season will be the same, and that there will be equality for both drivers,” he continued. "It couldn't be any other way because it's what common sense calls for, as there is a Ferrari driver behind and the British team have to fight against the red cars, not against their drivers. Fernando must be calm."

My prediction:
Alonso takes out himself and Lewis at turn 1 Massa wins the race Kimi wins the title. yes? Nah... that will make for a boring race.

Let me be the first, it seems, to congratulate Kimi on his first championship. Alonso was third, but never got close enough to challenge Massa for second place in the race.
Still a great season by Hamilton though -- the man really didn't make any rookie mistakes until the last two races of the season. I got to see him win at Indianapolis last June. BTW -- I loved the quote the Speed guys attributed to David Coulthard regarding the Iceman's personality -- "dead from the feet up!"

Lower temperature equates to higher density (a.k.a more fuel in the tank).
Interesting, but that would make Hamilton winning the race "off-the-track" rather than "on-the-track". However, I don't think this will satisfy Hamilton's ego. Quote:

FIA has been stirring the f*cking pot this season too much!!! The game ended.....it is wat it is. I really want Hamilton won on the actual track. Not FIA DQ two other drivers and made him won. FIA...just fucking let it go!

I know its kind of "unfair" to Hamilton.... but guess what.....Alonso will be whining again.....saying Hamilton gets the world champ with everyone else helping him...even the FIA....damn...Spanial sounds like he's fighting the whole world by himself!!! When Hamilton won the World Champion fair and square....that'll shut the spainard up!!!
