In today's market, this doesn't really seem like a deal.

+1

If your buddy plans on unloading the car he might want to rethink expecting the new Leese to shell out $6K for a used car. Not to sound harsh but this isn't a deal its a rip off. It just sounds like your buddy is trying to get out of his lease and recoup all money out of his pocket originally.

Stop the spin buddy!!! I'm going to offer this response in away to maybe help your friend realize how "Out of touch" he is with the market.

1. The car is used with "average" options as reflected in the MSRP of the car.
2. The new leese would have to cough up $5950 + First Months payment (normal with any lease I know). $5950 in cap cost being that it will be cash (not trading in some old car ) is NOT A GOOD DEAL
3. The car's orginal lease was started with 4k on the clock which makes this a dealer demo aka destroyed by everyone including the young valets at the dealership.
4. Your buddy is allowed (10K Miles per year / 12 months in a year) = 833.33 Miles a month. His lease started in 2/25/09 (Even worse the car was a leftover) and its 4 months into the lease and he has 12100 on the clock minus his 4000 orginal miles = 8100 miles. Right now he should be at 3333 miles!!

Its clear to me your buddy was way in over his head when he signed this deal orginally. Just another example of the "Fire Sale" M3 deals dealerships were offering to move excessive inventory off the lot making the average Joe be able to stretch his finances and be able to drive a M3 which in my opinion is a shame. This car should be much more exclusive, we aren't talking a regular 3 series here. On the flip side you have people stretching to make a dream become a reality and own a great car they never thought they could afford. I guess good for them.

Listen, he asked me to post it one way and thats how I did. So, if you think its too much money, make an offer and take it from there or move on. Plain and simple.

Not interested in making an offer. Not in the market for a new car considering I am already driving an 09. I understand you are trying to help a friend out but it seems like you were coming across that you were trying to pitch his car as "a great deal" when I have proven in a previous post its anything but that.

I think your friend should reconsider and maybe look toward 1g and walking away from the car. partially for the reasons mentioned above and the market is crap right now, I take a 4k hit on my old car that had a 16k kbb tradein value. im not here to stir the pat further just to maybe have your buddy reconsider...

What is hostile about listing several VALID points as to why the OP "deal" was in fact anything but one? No one here verbally attacked him/belittled him. I feel I offered some good constructive criticism as a means to give him some feedback he can relay to his friend so he can unload the car.

Mikeyyy G...chill out man. You and Sal are two of the only people I know outside of this site. Chill out...he is obviously a middle man here for his buddy. You don't need to come on here and justify the reasons for the seller looking for x vs y. Let it be and let him move a car for his friend. If the seller wants to be aggressive and actually sell it, he will let supply and demand work its magic and set the price for him.
