I've gotten a couple girlfriends into Mini Cooper S's... and they love them afterwards! So you can make enthusiasts out of some of them.

You've gotta get them out of those damn SUV's/CUV's and into cars!!

I find the bigger problem is just plain old time. If you're really into cars you spend a massive amount of resources on them and time is at least as likely as money to get you into arguments.
It's tough. Maybe one day I'll settle down. I hope to have my third M3 by then and say 'honey, the depreciation on these liquid dinosaur powered cars is terrible, I can't sell them'

One of my sisters (I have 5) is really into cars. She daily drives her two kids to school in my old 330Ci 5MT!
When they were babies it was tough but after 2 years old it becomes pretty easy to have two kids in a coupe.

Meanwhile her husband drives a diesel A3... FTL

Ah the mistakes of being a youngling! Now if that happened again I'd buy the E63 faster than you can say 'vanos pump' or 'rod bearings' and then spend the rest of my life wrenching on it. What is cooler than a wife driving a friggin V10 M6??

Nice! Wifey just sold her 07 335i 6MT blk/blk 66k miles. It had koni yellows, H&R springs, apex arc8s with dunlop ZII tires and BMW performance exhaust. Her project car is an E30 with an M50 swap.

We like cars. I'm glad I don't have to lie to her about it. Either she will say its stupid or why not go for the better version? etc etc.
