Exhaust Cutouts Installed - Video Teaser
I finally had the time to get my cutouts installed a couple days ago and couldn't be more pleased with the results. For ~$800 installed, I couldn't have a better exhaust note. Not to mention the fact that with the push of a button I can return to 100% stock. It's loud, but not obnoxious, and sounds great above 3k.
Quick shot of the turn downs while the car was still up on the lift

Nice. Good to hear everything fit. Can you do a shot from directly behind when the car's on the ground? You need to get us better vid/sound.

+1, the video wasn't great because of the wind. They look awesome by the way.

Nothing noticeable by the butt dyno
Yeah, it was shitty quality and full of wind noise. I'll try and get another one up where you can actually hear it.

Where did you get these? Looks like a nice way to make the car sound awsome, when you want it to!

Cool. Video doesn't work though - get us some better vids. It must sound a lot like mine. But do you have any drone with your valves pre-Helmholtz chamber like that??
The valves are the same as mine, race ready. I had some binding problems with mine (woudln't open fully) and they needed replacement - let us know if yours are ok down the road. Tell us more about your install - where did you power the valves, do you use the wireless module or a switch?

DON'T BUY Race Ready Performance electronic cutout valves. Here's why: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...40#post9589740 |

I've decided that this is more of a "safety" mod. With the cutouts open, I have yet to run across a deer in our deer infested neighborhood here in Austin.

I removed the video because I shot it with my iphone and the quality was horrible; you couldn't really hear much. I'll try and get out and get some better video this weekend.

JML - What are these Redneck Cutouts? Is that just a term you coined for the set up? Are you also using the Race Ready, or is this another brand of cutouts?

Looks like the cutouts were installed after the secondary cats and the resonator? Why not do it before the secondary cats and have it come out the sides? I would think the result woud be better performance and LOUDER lol..

It's plenty loud, trust me. I got a letter from the HOA about it being too loud, and I creep through the neighborhood. I talked to the guys at the shop about it, but there just isn't room. I have them mounted in the easiest/most vacant area under the car.
