A/C question

I have my a/c nob ( both driver and passenger side ) set to 60* degree with the snowflake button turned on and it feels like a fan blowing.. Also the same thing with I hit max a/c.. Is this normal or is there something wrong with the car.. I have a 2008 e82 m3...

Are you saying it doesn't feel cold enough? Make sure the wheel near the central vents is all the way to the blue. If that still doesn't do it, then take it in. I have not used the a/c much in mine, since it's not that hot up here, but the one time i did, it felt cold enough...

btw, I have an E92, so what I'm saying might not apply to your E82

BMW's older AC units do suck(I say older because our 2011 X5 AC is AMAZING) but not to that extent. If you're still under warranty, take it in.

Slightly unrelated but my MY10's heater sucks unless it is at MAX 38 degrees heat, and then it's too hot. 37 and under feels like its blowing the fan.

Thank you. I thought I'm the only one thinking that. You should be able to dial a temp and the car does whatever it takes to achieve this temp interiorly. Heat it up, cool it down, whatever. That's what an "Automatic climate control" is!!!

The point is that you can have cold air blowing to your feet and your windshield while having warm air blowing from the middle vents. It makes sense, and is pretty hand.

I use it most often the other way to keep warm in the winter but still have a bit of fresh breeze. Has been one of my favorite features in a bmw forever. Was pretty pretty pissed to find my wife's E60 had no such love.
