Installation Help Request

Hey everyone, I've been trying to install my black side gilles and have had no luck for some reason. Ive searched but have not come up for the guide for the e92 side gill. I found the sedan one but I know they are different. If someone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

... and I have searched but no luck even know I know there should be one on the forum.

I thought that the E92 install would be the same as a E90 install:

In the same thread I read the e92 does not have the honeycomb which makes the installation different.

If there are any shops that could do this installation for me i would like to know because it seems theres a good chance you might scrape the paint and that would cost way more than the installation.

Im in the glendale/valley area.

thanks!

Penny31, did you ever find a DIY for the coupe? I've got the front taken care of but, like you, I'm a bit hesitant to try the sides...

There's a DIY on youtube somewhere. That's how I learned to do it. You're right, it is hard to do without help.

Check the DIY section on this forum and do a search. I'm sure it's there somewhere.

Here ya go.

http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...side+grill+diy

It took me exactly 6 seconds to remove my side grills. The only thing you need to be careful of is the matte black pieces they sent me had the pre-drilled holes for the screw too small. I almost cracked/ruined them. Make sure the screws are going in smoothly before you just start cranking them down. I noticed mine were cracking so I stopped, pre-drilled a larger hole, then assembled them. If they crack too much you're screwed. Good luck.

P.S. The key to the removal is to use fingertip pressure on the underside as you're pulling up. It releases the little prongs on the underside and it just pops right out. You don't even need fingertip pressure on the top side. All underside pressure.
