Added a quarter 10w40, problem?

I was on my way to an event at an airfield, time was an issue and the gas station didnt have anything better then 10w40. The oil lamp just lit 10 minutes earlier and I thought a quarter 10w40 would be better then nothing, right? I've got a service coming up in about 1½ month.. Any reason for concern? Should I change the oil?

I just did this also on long drive, have a service in less than 2 weeks. Don't think its an issue.

Garage List
I'll have a quart of ELF Total 10w60 full synthetic on standby in my garage if Castrol TWS 10w60 is not available. ELF is 8 dollars and easier to get.

It wont hurt to keep 1 or 2 quarts of "10-60" in your trunk, for such emergencies. At least, that's what I'm doing for my E90/M3...
