Those of you running methanol injection on superchargers...
What injection kit and supercharger kit are you running and where did you mount the nozzle?
I purchased a VF540 kit and would like to run methanol (only for lower IATs and knock reduction). I'm in Phoenix and I'd like to keep the car running consistent throughout the year. I do not plan to "tune" for it i.e. run increased timing, less fuel. I just want the safety margin and lower the IATs, which will ultimately make more power regardless. So for those of you out there running a meth kit on a charger, what's your setup? Thanks |

interestingly enough i just had some dyno runs done on Friday and my car LOST massive power with meth flowing. We actually thought something was wrong with the car until we turned meth off, and the #'s shot up to normal.
im guessing with lots of time on the dyno and careful adjustment of nozzle sizes, mixtures, and injection settings you could get it to a point where this isn't happening, i'm thinking my setup was simply spraying way too much. Since i'm not really interested in doing this, my meth kit is coming out. if you're still interested i will sell it cheap |

You will need to tune for it. It will be too rich. Like running too high octane fuel.

yep. also i was running 49/51, maybe it also needs more meth and less water. Either way, i just want something that is plug and play and this isn't it, it was a mistake to do it in the first place. I'm sure someone else can make it work much better. |

Meth % sounds about right. Its more about the meth nozzle you used with out tuning for it. We use a 450cc on the level 3 for reference.
