That's very interesting. My second choice was "RATED M" (same thing, but in PA you can't use symbols)

That's why I chose S65B40 M. To 99% of people it is just a random plate, to another M enthusiast it holds some meaning.

A friend of a friend in NJ had a plate that said "AMG THIS". This was on the E46 M3 and he has taken it off since then.

I'm not so sure. I seem to recall videos of Sticky's car taking a C63 on a roll. I think it was back when Sticky's car was still stock.
PG

I have my doubts of Sticky as a stock E92 M3 M-DCT pulling on a stock C63 regardless of from a roll or dig. Unless the C63 driver is trying to paddleshift with the 7G tranny. I myself ran a stock E92 M3 M-DCT and pulled easily 2 CLs before I shut down. 3 Runs all the same results even with him getting the jump. The results are similar as scene on you tube and on the MB Forums. Of course DLSJ5 has proven how bolt-on mods can make a E92 M3 M-DCT a fast car.

See, as much as I like the C63 (and any 63 variant), it being the first AMG offerings I would actually own even though I prefer the M3, all things being equal, I don't think either car is going to get 2 car lengths on either one.

I agree with the other poster. I think its funny how none of the mb guys mention TURNS when talking about "racing." One day they will learn that cars turn too, and not just sideways.

Actually maybe then you care to post your track experience with your M3? Exactly how many times have you gone to the track and ran your car on a closed circuit? I personally have no problem admitting with all variables equal the M3 will be quicker, however if you been to the track as many times as you can count on one hand or better yet never at all what differentiates you from the stereo-type you are trying to brand "MB owners"?

It's funny because the rational M3 owner knows his cars weaknesses (straight line,drag/street racing), while the rational C63 owner knows his (closed circuit track) but it seems that some people which exist on both sides have a distorted perception of reality.

I have both a C63 and a M3 and I can tell you the C63 def wins the straight line contest without a question. Neither car is going to fall behind on some twisties with spirited driving on the road. But I'm quite confident the M3 will definitely win on the track.

They really are two different cars. The C63 is not a track car, the M3 is. But cruising down the highway, the 6.3 is just awesome.

We don't stand a chance. I commented on another thread, that I'm in business with my brother in laws and one of them owns a C63. I've on many occasions ran him either on the way to work or back home, and believe me, his car is stupid fast. Actually, I have at times regreted not buying one. Don't get me wrong, I love my M, but the only thing truly holding me in the BMW's fort is the 6MT. If the next M is only available in a DCT, then I will truly have to consider the next C as well, which will no doubt use the new E63's new tranny.

On this site, we don't allow street racing stories. So when "mthis" challenged me to a street race, I challenged him to take his overconfidence to the Texas Mile (not a street race). That's when the thread on MBWorld got closed.

It seems like the moderators on MBWorld are VERY insecure if they can't accept a little friendly rivalry.
I think we have a little party going over PG?

I find it very entertaining reading this in the office on a Friday afternoon.
