Vanguard Performance Titanium Exhaust pics + video
Hey guys, the last few weeks I've been testing out Vanguard Performance's titanium exhaust system for the M3. Overall I have to say its one of the best looking and sweetest sounding exhausts around... really they've done a great job on this.
It's a twin canister full titanium and bolt on system. Fitment is perfect and the sound is great, not extremely loud like some of the systems out there, but a nice deep rumble at low rpms and a great sound at WOT. There really is no drone and it's not intrusive at idle or when you're just cruising around town, but open her up and wow! I ran Angeles Crest last weekend with a few other cars and the ones behind me got an earful lol. Here are some pictures of the final prototype getting installed: And video! [u2b][/u2b] It should be available within a month or so.. if you want to check it out and are going to BigSocalEuro this weekend in San Diego, I'll be at the Liquidcrack booth.. stop by and say hi! |

Looks very similar to the vorsteiner. Its hard to make the tips alignment perfect when they have the tips coming out from different heights. That was my experience with the Vorsteiner anyways.

That looks like the Amuse system to me - the welds and the titanium quality - that definitely looks like Japanese aerospace grade titanium.... I've never seen the Vorsteiner system though, but I have seen the Amuse system last time I was at auto-salon.

They should be available within a few wks... not sure about the Gruppe-M exhaust, havent really seen much on it
More pics: Hangers work perfectly with the factory mounting points BTW the best way to install an exhaust is to unbolt everything! A direct swap with the stock one is a pain in the a$$ Picture of the connecting pipes... they fit perfectly and leave lots of room for the other components to breath. |

Do you have a diagram of the muffler's internal construction? They seem to be straight-thru, and I don't see how they can have no drone without a Helmholtz (sp?) chamber. Sorry for the skepticism, but they do sound awesome. Thx.

Hey elp, at cruising speeds and held rpms its really great, no headaches to report or girls complaining The inside resonance is pretty minimal for an aftermarket exhaust, but its nice and aggressive on the outside. I did get yelled at by some neighboorhood guy to slow down last week though. Wasn't even going that fast!
