Cool Cops.
So I was driving home at lunch time today (a few hundred yards from where the two corvette turkeys made their their race'n wreck youtube debut) and in the rear view I see the blue lights flashing. Here we fuckin go I thought to myself while pulling over etc. Anyway the officer approaches my car and explains that the reason I was being stopped is because I was doing 47 in a 35 zone (Not sure if I was or not actually, not intentional). But the phrase "here we fuckin go again" springs to mind while I politely hand over the usual required credentials. He runs my info, comes back then.."Did that car come with that exhaust sir?" Now I really started to think this guy is having a bad day and is really gonna fuck me, cuff me, then take me to jail or something. Shit, what do I do, lie and make it worse?? "Megan racing cat back exhaust officer, just a muffler".... "Sounds good sir". "I'm giving you a warning ticket for speeding this time." "Take it easy."
Anyway, I thought it would be good to give the cops some positive press. I'm thinking a lot of them are just car guys too. :-)

I imagine that is a HIGH enforcement area with all the press. Clearly you should be aware of the speed limit there. Showed the original video to a friend and the vette incident made anderson coopers Ridiculist article..

My pops got pulled over on the 101 this weekend. He was in his Ferrari 458. (Im sure this had to do with the result) anyway, He poped it up to 100 to pass a big truck while getting on the freeway, and got hit with lazer. He was pulled over and then let off.
Crazy. Wish I had his luck. D |

Yes, it is a high enforcement area now. And I don't speed on public roads here simply because I prefer to stay alive. The drivers in Texas are shit and on the phone, swerving from lane to lane randomly etc most of the time. I learned to drive in the UK where that would be a jail sentence. But you honestly tell me that you have never looked away from the spedo (while looking ahead) driving an M3 at relatively low speeds, watching out for pedestrians etc? Just trying to give the cops some respect, they get a lot of bad press...

Woodlands cops are sneaky and usually up to no good - but - the township isn't really hurting for money so they don't try as hard as some areas.
