Powder Coat...glossy/satin/matte black?
Getting delivery of my 2013 MW coupe next week and first thing I want to do is get the rims powdercoated. I think I have tossed out matte black. Think the flatness of the matte on the MW wouldnt achieve the look I want. Been leaning towards matte and I dont want them so shine that much but havent been able to see comparisons side by side to make a final decision. Anybody have any opinions or photos to compare?

Paint would be preferred for the stock wheels. IMO on MW, I would also not do a matte wheel. Satin would be a good compromise between matte and shiny.

Can you tell me why you say paint would be better? I dont know too much about paint vs powdercoat. I just thought powdercoat would hold up better. Satin is definitely the way I am going though. THanks for your input! |

Powdercoating the cast, stock wheel is not recommended since the process can weaken the wheel.

I could be wrong but pretty sure the gts wheels are powder coated. Anyone know for sure?
