Bad idea-then he chooses some cheap ass lousy open roofed carrier to transport your car because he's paying for it. Car transport companies vary widely in quality and how careful they are with your car and closed compartment carriers are more expensive than open but your car is better protected. You want to select the company and control the delivery so just negotiate price and factor in the grand or however much it will cost you.

I'm going to guess around $700 to $1,000 but it depends on distance and I don't remember if those numbers are from when I was looking at a car to go from Cali to CT or FLA to CT. Try USAAutotransport.com I think I recall that they have a very good reputation.
