Can I get some of the stuff you are smoking J/K

Seriously, the GT-R would eat the M3 on a track. They are in different performance categories. A GT-R is more than 40 seconds faster at the 'Ring... that's like an eternity and not even close. GT-R plays with the GT3-RS, GT2-RS, ZR1, 458... NOT an M3.

Sure, have a puff

Geez, everyone is so sensitive here...I'm not saying nor have I ever said the GT-R wouldn't win at the track. Of course it would obliterate the M3 on the Ring and any track throughout the race. What I'm saying is in that specific straight away moment (per OP comment), a GT-R might not leave the M3 a few car lengths immediately if the GT-R driver skipped a beat on the throttle out of the turn.

LOLz, but hey, I am smoking some mighty good stuff over here

LOL WTF GTR versus M3 off the line it's not even close. When I run M3's I don't bother launching and wait for the M3 to go. LOL

What was surprisingly close was the 991 Porsche Carrera S PDK I raced two days ago. That car is impressively fast off the line and through maybe 100mph...

On the freeway / straightaways it typically makes the world of difference who goes first so I guess you're correct there. 100-150HP differential (20-30%) means nothing if a car has a second or two head-start, but that's a function of pure physics.

Yep, that's what I was pointing at.

And keep in mind when you read the M3 numbers, that's a 6MT car so a DCT could be a tad quicker if done right.[/QUOTE]

no disrespect to you, i just saw wrong numbers and wanted to make a correction. i can be beating m3s on a mini cooper on the track , its all about driver skill on the road course. it does not mean your car is faster than theirs thats all i wanted to point out.

Thx for all the comments. Just giving you the results, of course no idea if every car was flat out and going as hard as I was...but the GTR was, and the gt3 was during the comparisons I made or I wouldn't report it, would have no meaning.
M3 was so predictable and I could place the car on the apex, I was focused on getting on the gas as fast as possible to try to keep up with those faster cars.
Main point is the M3 is a very fun and capable car, owners should take a try at a track event.

Thx guys.

You did a good job keeping up with them! The GTR should be able to get on the gas earlier being AWD, but who knows if the driver was getting on it early enough.
