I just talked to Rob@UUC. he said he couldnt give me ETA could be a week or a month. it's still under development and the effort is to get a perfect shifter position ergonomically.
Stock knob/boot will still be used, and will keep illuminating.
he said they had a prototype that requires taking out the exhaust, but it seems that we can get around that and not have to take out the exhaust to install it.
he also told me to sign up for the mailing list. they will email us once the product is finalized and ready.

whichever comes first. I might drop by E46fanatics and see reviews about AA's. I have tried UUC's before and i dont mind it. it's close to to stock.

I spoke to AA about half an hour ago, this is what I got:

-It will work with stock knob and will continue to illuminate
-It will be ready to ship on Tuesday
-Throws are 30% shorter
-Knob will sit slightly lower then stock (thank god)
-Introductory price is $350 plus shipping

Mantis, do those answer any of the questions you sent to them?

what do you mean by will sit lower than stock? does it come with a shifter shaft that's smaller? or how is it lower? what's lower?

The knob will sit lower in the boot, only slightly. but i think that is perfect!
on my E46 330, I bought B&M and it sat so perfectly in the boot, not all tall and big and lanky looking!

AE exhaust. hoping for their new race version, should be loud. other than that... im thinking about wheels but i know that'll require dropping which is a whole ball of wax on its own... i dont wanna deal with it now lol

AE ? Not familiar with it...wheels make the biggest difference, it is what will differentiate your M3 from all the others out there.

Why don't you wanna deal with lowering? no big deal, couple hours at a shop!

AE is autobahn exotics, they're big in Audi, getting into BMW's.

i was playing with a E46 M3 with Eisenmann race the other night. man sounds sooo sweet. i want one now, how do u like urs? drone? what's it like at low RPM's?

i dont want to lower coz i hate the feel of springs, i dont want coilovers and remove my EDC, and the fact that the car feels so perfect and good right now + i wish i dont have to spend money on the car

I wouldn't even compare the E46 M3 w/ Eisenmann tone to that of the E9x M3w/ Eisenmann. 6 cyl vs 8 cyl and completely different technology!
I LOVE it, its incredible - sounds perfect!! I have race, so its a bit louder and theres very minimal drone at low RPM's. Doesn't bother me one bit.
If your worried about loudness/drone then go with Sport and you won't be dissapointed.

As for lowering, honestly I didn't feel such a difference . I mean the difference is there, but in no way is it a bad different! I didn't do coilovers because of EDC aswell, but Im amazed with how well the H&R Springs ride!
BTW, how old are ya?
