How much should I pay for this m3?

I found a 2011 M3 local.

http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/4091699822.html

It has only little over 10K miles with competition package, premium package, convenience package. But the stickers doesn't say anything about technology package???

Anyway, what is the reasonable price to offer for a car like this?
This is a private seller.

That car has been listed here on the forum since last March, Seller is a regular here and seems like a great car. Car looks phenomenal but private sale, no roof, and color combo I believe eat into the value a bit. Just my opinion.

Frankly, I wouldn't even make an offer.
Not because the car is in anyway inferior, but because the owner appears convinced the mileage, together with the supposed uniqueness of the E90, will eventually get him the asking price. And he is willing and able to wait for that to happen. Those are strong negotiating headwinds to overcome. And they appear regularly in the California market.
That's why I would suggest looking outside California for your car. Also, I've learned that I need to reign in my emotions when it comes to considering very low mileage cars. I think all 3 year old cars with less than 30k miles on them are equivalent as far as mileage goes. Just something to think about.

Listed since March? Wow...
I have to admit that i get emotially more attached to low mileage cars. So maybe that is why I was going to buy this car.
So for an 2011 m3 fully loaded with 30k miles, what is the proper market price? Blue book value is 49k or less. But seems like every one is asking over $50k for these cars in california.
What am i missing?

I've found that private sellers of m3s are idiots and expect way too much. I've gotten much better pricing from dealers

So again my question is, seems like all m3 sellers are completely ignoring kbb price. Why is that?

For me, the lack of moonroof and split fold seats creates added value I prefer (about 100lbs of weight savings for $1-2k in effective "resale" loss)

…Sounds like a better $ to weight savings ratio than any mod out there to me!

To each his/her own I suppose. But I'll take the leaner car over the fancier/porkier car and price match. Dunno if many enthusiasts are like that anymore given that features in cars are so standard and luxurious Maybe I'm just derp

After much research, you are absolutely right. I did a search on carmax and shocked. Their price is much better than private sellers. Private sellers are basically looking to sell their cars for dealer price (even higher than dealer price).

If carmax is selling this car, they probably sell this at around 50K. So private sale value should be couple thousands dollar below 50K IMO.
