HI ALL, THIS IS MY DEAL....I ORDERED A AW COUPE FOX RED INTERIOR, CARBON TRIM, TECH PACKAGE, PREMIUM, COLD, LOADED..THIS CAR IS SCHEDULED TO COME IN JUNE/ JULY...THE DEALER COULDNT GIVE ME A CLEAR DATE!

NOW ANOTHER DEALER JUST CALLED ME TODAY TO LET ME KNOW THEY JUST GOT IN A AW COUPE, FOX RED, CARBON LEATHER, EVERY OPTION I ORDERED....THE ONLY THING IS IT HAS A SUNROOF!!! I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO? SHOULD I WAIT AND EXTRA 4 MONTHS JUST CUZ THIS VEHICLE HAS A MOONROOF?

WHAT WOULD YOU GUYS DO????

I'd wait. I really wished that my GT3 didn't come with the sunroof.

I was thinking about this and I really like having a sunroof on my car- I don't know if I will be ok with not having one. Also- do you really need the CF roof if you aren't going to track the car? The non-CF M3 is more than enough for those once in a while spirited jaunts on the weekends....my .02...

Honestly, the only time I use my sunroof is when "someone" passes gas in the car and it begins to choke those in the vehicle. I think I could find a reasonable alternative. So I say go with the carbon fiber roof.

you simply cannot give up the look of the cf roof with AW, if you had a dark car then maybe you should think about it (probably not though, cf roof = sex)

I would not buy a car with a sunroof if I didn't have to. I mean other 3-series only come with sunroof so no choice. one of my main things with a M3 is no sunroof.

That's just me if you don't mind having a sunroof go ahead and get it sooner.

I wish car makers would get off the terrible fixation they have with sunroofs they are not like having a convertible, they are a little window on the roof so what? Give me a non-sunroof any day.

I mean a GT3 which is supposed to be track oriented only comes with a sunroof (in the US) what the heck?

Why would the CF roof rattle, there are no moving parts? All 3 BMWs I have owned (e46 325, e92 335, X3) have had rattles come from the sunroof after about 1 year.

haha, my caps lock isnt broken i just am getting worked up. i want to get into this thing...i dont want to be driving this huge pickup through the whole summer! lol. well see thanks for all your input. i will look at the car tonight and make my decision. Thanks for the help all.

If you originally ordered the CF roof then that's what you probably really want, so why not wait? Better to wait and get what you really want.

I have always had moon roofs on my cars till this one. I have owned my car for one week now, and I don't miss the moon roof. I get all kinds of comments and questions about the CF roof. most people think it's glass see through targa top. I would go sit in inside of it, than look at it from the outside than make up my mind. The only other M3 in seattle has the moon roof. I don't know why he needs in Seattle??

I´d buy this one. The feelable difference should be minimal, but you have the car 4months earlier. You just life once, therefor enjoy every minute as much as possible ( and could this be easier than in a M3 )

You could always take the car and go aftermarket with the roof (or order BMW OEM, have it cut and installed). Then you'd have a fairly unique CF roof with a sunroof. Pricey solution though.

From the factory? No way. Aftermarket? Heck yes people will do it.
