Track Day with a Veyron, Porsche GT and Ferrari

Here are a few pictures of a couple cars that made it out to the track with me yesterday at Eagles Canyon Raceway in North Texas. There were also a couple 911s and an Ariel Atom. Beautiful day with temperatures in the mid 70s.

One individual owned the Bugatti, GT and Ferrari (612 I believe). The tires on the Veyron cost over $30K to replace and the wheels have to be shipped to France for the install!!! He also found out that his warranty was voided by taking it to the track but didn't care. The Ferrari and GT were much faster around the track than the Bugatti (which began to have overheating issues). The Bugatti was just too heavy. The GT sounds amazing and the Ferrari was absolutely beautiful. There was a guy there video taping the whole thing so I bet it won't be long until we see this posted up on YouTube.

This was my first time with the M3 at the track. I have lots of experience at this track on my motorcycle and it didn't take long to get up the speed and stick with the lines I was already very familiar with. Only got passed by the Ariel Atom and a 911 GT3 but could keep up with all the cars pretty well. Even passed the Atom and Ferrari in one of the session late in the day. The M3 is truly amazing. Took it very easy on the brakes just b/c I am still running stock brake fluid and pads. Lots of fun!

Wow, great line up. That guy obviously has money coming out his ears. Interesting that tracking the Veyron voids the warranty...

WOW about the tires on the veyron! Thanks for the pictures. Having the warranty voided for going on the track isn't cool.

This guy clearly likes black on tan. That's a 599 GTB by the way, not a 612.

I'm sure he could run other tires, its simply that the tires put on the Veyron are capable of handling the loads at 250+ MPH. For how rarely he probably gets any where near that number he would be better off getting different tires. If cash grows on trees for him as it seems, then oh well!

Ya pay 1.2 mil for a car and they say the warranty is voided because you want to use it for what it was built for.....

Does Nissan own Bugatti????
