M3 owners

I have been looking around for a new car. I've talked to a few pol on the forums and decided that a 335i was a great choice. However I could possibly have the opportunity to get into a m3 Sedan.

My question to you guys is how old are you m3 owners.

I drove this car and fell in love other than the quickness why would you have your m vs a 335

This Question Has Already Been Really Really Beaten to Death

Look through the thread titles on the M3 Vs.... forum. The arguments are all there. This thread will get you started: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=347931

Iam 27. Just coming out of a 3 year 335 lease. While the 335 is a fantastic car, there is just something special about an M. You can tell that there was more time invested in the production of the car over the 335. It drives much smoother, has a much better grade of leather, its def faster (if your comparing stock vs stock). Its just an all around amazing car

I would have to agree with everything said here, except age. I'm older.

i had a 335xi it was great right up until the time my supposed fuel pump went and the dealer couldnt fix it . 6 times in the shop in 5 weeks. i was done with the turbo and moved to the M3 which is in a different league than the 335 setting aside me sweating every morning when i started the car and the service engine light came on and the car sputtered horribly.
any other questions? oh i was 47 when i got the 335 and 48 when i got the m3.
im still upset over that 335

I'm 29 and will take pcd of my E90 M3 Dec 10th. I'll just answer that part of your OP questions, since there are a ton of threads on here already that can answer the latter part of your question much more effectively than I can.

I'm 26 test drove the 335 but if the M3 is in your budget why not? Live while you're young, then continue to live it up and live well once you're older.

dude, go get what you want now because sooner or later your priorities will soon change...
btw, by having to own the two, can definitely say that the M is definitely a different kind of beast!

I'm 24 right now. Got my M3 when I was 22/23 - I didn't get a license until I was 21, so a bit of a late bloomer when it comes to driving. If you are a respectful driver and realize the road is not a race track, I don't see why not?

However, do realize that insurance for an under 25 sucks!

+1

I agree as well.

Had a 540i at 27, 2003 M3 Coupe at 33 and now moving back into an M3 (E90) at I approach my 40th (from an '08 335i)

Sorry, but nothing else out there comes close...it's about overall balance (literal and subjective). BMW creates something special and magical with their M cars.

Im 23, I jumped out of a 330ci and i was lucky enough to be able to afford an M3c earlier than originally planned. This is an amazing car and i love every second i spend driving in it. I find myself taking the "scenic routes" a lot btw lol.

I've wanted an M3 ever since 2002 when I got my very first BMW. I was 19. I had just gotten a 2002 325ci. My friend at the time had a 1995 M3 in white. Thats when I first fell in love with the M3

Started with an e36 M3 and once you are owning a BMW M, you will most likely never look back - go for it.
