The GM from my Porsche dealership just called me to let me know that the 2 (911 & Taycan) we have on order which were "expected" to arrive this summer are going to be delayed because of this. They're giving customers whose cars were on that boat first preference to rebuild/replace them.

They lost 10 customer cars. That number surprised me since I never think of them being a big dealership.

Oh well, they'll probably get here before the Bronco I ordered in December though

Looks like Porsche will ensure to give priority to customers of the sunk 1100.

Maybe these owners will get a free mug with some special sunken ship sort of commemorative logo on it.

Too soon?

I just read that Lamborghini will restart production of the Aventador. The Felicity Ace had 15 of them on board. Officially they had stopped manufacturing the Aventador but since this catastrophic event happened, they have decided to restart production specifically to replace those 15 lost vehicles.

There were actually a total of 85 Lambos on board that ship but most of them were the Urus SUVs.

"The Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae was meant to be a final send-off trim for the V-12 supercar, with 770 horsepower, active aerodynamics, and four-wheel steering. It's set to be replaced with a hybrid-powered car next year."

Are they offering anything to customers who are being delayed (like yourself) to keep you from ordering from another manufacturer?

No, neither manufacturer did besides a decent deal when I ordered and also not marking them up. I knew it would be a long wait for all 3 and I'm okay with it in these weird times

I'd have felt much worse if mine were on the way and got burned on the boat and they made me to go to the back of the line

It seems like they are by at least pushing them back to the front of the line. Of course, it would be nice to see something in addition to - honorary "My Car Sunk" T-shirt?

How about a "My Other Car is at The Bottom of the Atlantic" license plate frame? Milled from a billet of stainless steel, of course.
