ESS VT2-625, engine malfunction: reduced power
So I had the supercharger put on about 40 miles ago, my 2010 has 14k miles on it. Also had the Akra full exhaust installed at the same time. Car did 585whp on the dyno!
Was driving this morning in 3rd gear about 2k rpms when this notice popped up. Okay - freak out for 10 seconds, then come to and slowly drive my way home. Checked the codes and got: 2793 Power management battery 2B13 Speed registration 27E3 INDEX_211_INJ 2796 Motor emergency program activated I'm pretty sure the battery needs replacing as it's run low a couple of times and had to be put on a charger, and I read that the first two codes could be related to the low battery. But the 3rd and 4th codes I wasn't able to find anything on. Anyone have any ideas? I sent an email to ESS, but it's the weekend so thought I'd check in on here and see if anyone has an idea. |

Bummer man. This is the 2nd thread Ive seen about new ESS installs throwing codes. I have had my car throw all kinds of reduced power, ABS, DBS, and hill assist errors due to my low battery. Once it was replaced, they stopped.
Who did your install?

It was Kevin over at European Auto Source in Anaheim that hooked me up. I have an Awron gauge on order there too.
Interesting about your battery and codes. I know it needs one so I'll probably throw one in tomorrow and see what ESS says on Monday. |
