Urgent: Steering Lock Fault :(

Driving to work this morning with no issues but when switched ignetion off this warning appreared!!

What could cause this!! i never experienced any faults with my M.

i have gotten this fault before. for me, it appears and disappears very quickly. it only appears just as i start my car and usually only happens when i havent used my car for a few days. is it the same for you?

actualy no, its my daily driver! but i am able to start the car and every thing is functioning perfectly!! its only the warning..

well mine only came on twice and then disappeared. when i did my oil change at the dealer, they could see the fault has been registered but nothing seemed to be wrong. so mine was just a computer glich i think. is yours still on right now?
