Only iPhone users think iPhone is good. The fact is that Android is better, more & more people is using Android phone. So I don't know why BMW use lot of resources to invent apple/iPhone stuff for BMW...

Most iPhone owners just want to know if it is in the App Store. Most Android users want to compare numbers and talk about which phone is better. While comparing numbers, remember one piece of hardware and until earlier this year one carrier versus....I don't really know how many pieces of hardware or carriers because I'm cool with my iPhone.

There are currently six manufacturers — Dell, HTC, Kyocera, LG, Motorola, and Samsung — making 42 smartphones using the Android operating system.

So how does the iPhone stack up against one of these phones? Let’s take a look at the Motorola Droid.

Motorola says it shipped 13.7 million smartphones in 2010. The company didn’t specify Droids, but we’ll count them all anyway.

In comparison, Apple shipped 47.49 million in 2010, outpacing Motorola by more than three times.

Now, let’s take a look at the operating systems in the U.S. According to reports released this month by comScore, if you factor in all of the devices that use iOS including iPhones, iPads and iPod touches, Apple reached 37.9 million people. Android, according to the data, reached 23.8 million on phones and tablets.

That’s a 59 percent lead for iOS over Android.

In Europe, Apple’s iPhone, iPod touch, and iPads have a combined installed base of 28.9 million users. Android’s user base is at 13.4 million users. That number includes phones and connected media devices like the Samsung Galaxy Tab.

That gives Apple a 12.4 percent share of the market and a 116 percent lead over its Android counterpart. Google has 5.7 percent share of the market.

Thank you for the numbers but I work in the Mobile industry. I was just too lazy to post the stats. lol iphone is 1 phone while android is a OS that is on many carriers and manufacturers, easy math.
At this point yes, Apple pretty much dominate in certain areas but if you take allll the wireless phones, Apple only accounts for single digit percentage of the whole cellphone population, there is about 290MM users in the US, only cellphones...

Android joined the market almost 2 years later than Apple so being off by about 14MM users (combined market tablets, devices, and cellular) is not that bad, considering the amount of advertising and promotions Apple had for its products.

Its like saying there are more Apple computers than PC's ...

There are people who still use WAP/Feature phones! like a large portion of the population... these are phones that don't have full browsers, and limited app capabilities.
They only have basic features and functions, in most cases they are prepaid phones...

Just downloaded it for my HTC Evo. As far as android vs. iphone is concerned, both are excellent platforms, but I had to get the EVO as my family has a sprint unlimited family plan so I had to choose from their phones. I really like the evo, a great upgrade from my blackberry. I cant even hate on the iphone itself, but apple customer service is terrible and ATT has horrendously bad coverage.

But this app is pretty fun. That is until a bunch of haters put the Van Wyck or the Belt on here...
