dealerships are careless
So I just pick my car up from Habberstad after having the rear bumper painted because the clear coat was peeling from it, they did this at no cost. They did an ok job on repairing the paint but decided that my AA muffler tip needed some clear coat. They also scrap my front spliters driving to the body shop. I am going to complain to them but most of the time i dealt with dealerships they are a pain and say it was like that. So any one know how to take clear coat off muffler tips? Also can you repair carbon fiber spliters?

I will try to get the stealer ship to fix it for free because it is their fault and not yours.
I will also go to BMWNA and complain about the damages they did. Beside the dealer should have taken picture of your car when you drop it off for services, to check of no damage prior to service. Also you should have taken pictures if the dealer didn't. If I was you I will go to another dealer to get my services when this is over. Try Rallye BMW and ask for Denis as your SA. Denis also owns a M3 and will take car of you. Good luck and keep us posted. |

I would ask them to repair as I know they are always concerned about any negative feedback they get. I believe they currently take feedback on yelp.

When I bring my car in for service at Competition BMW, the SA takes a walk around the car. He has a clipboard and notes if there is any existing damage (wheel curbage, dents, etc.)I believe this is something that all dealers should practice. This way it protects the dealer and customer.

Who the hell clearcoats a bumper without removing it first?? That's the only way that could have happened. It's a shame but to most dealerships your car is "just another car".

Dealerships can be annoying. My E90 M3 was damaged at BMW. They paid for all repairs and I requested no valets drive the car anymore. So far so good, still cautious about taking my car for service
