Advice on TPMS Problem...
i have tpms installed on my 11 m3 which has aftermarket wheels (tsw). i have an ongoing tpms error which says 'tpms inactive'...it happens randomly and frequently. i just had the car into my bmw dealer for an oil service, and they basically said they wouldn't touch it because of the aftermarket wheels. i do not think they pulled the codes that the obc was putting out--the docs i got say they checked tire pressures and reset the tpms (which i do from time to time myself). i got into a bit of an arguement with the service advisor since the car gave me the error message the day after i got it back from the dealer, and after he had also tried to 'upsell' me on some non-warranty service that i clearly do not need..
is there anything i can do here, should the dealer be responsible for this sort of tpms error even though the wheels are not bmw? thanks.

Assuming the wheels are designed to accept the monitor, and you have the same Beru brand monitor, the wheels have nothing to do with your problem, and the dealer should have no “after-market” issue.
