Anyone with an E90 M3 install an REMUS exhaust?

I was just curious if anyone had pics of the REMUS exhaust (race or sport) installed on the sedan? I am considering this exhaust but am not sure how it will look if it sticks out farther than when installed on the E92. Has anyone done this and can you post a pic?

bump, looking for the same. Curious if the hanger mod is simple or complicated.

Check out the SOUTHWEST region post. We had a drive-meet and SHADY1 has a Remus Race exhaust on his E92 M3. It sounds VERY nice and I am actually considering either that exhaust or the Ex9 from Active Autowerke. Around $1400 for the Remus and $2200 for the Active. There a ton of videos of the Remus exhaust....google!

Varun, a member of M3post.com, installed the system on an E90.

What happened, I remember the days when Remus was considered the absolute top of the line in terms of exhausts. Nowadays it's the "budget" option.

Our prices are fairly consistent throughout our catalog. There is no "brand" tax.

This isn't necessarily the case as expensive shouldn't automatically assume the best in quality, nor the cheapest being the worst. The Remus is moderately priced and a great value for your dollar.

We're running the Remus Sport on our e92 M3 - everyone who's seen or went for a ride has had nothing but compliments.

From the link:

I'm sure you can always adjust how far the tips are with a little fabrication by the technician.

Went down to my local BMW mechanic...

This is where you hack it...about 1 1/2 inch...

Unscrew all the rubber mounts off

Fit it all, done in about an hour..

The Remus, Eisenmann, etc is not a complete bolt on except the Active Autowerke. See related pictures in other threads. You have to hack off the OEM exhaust in order to install the after market ones. Same with my E60 M5.

There should be a Remus Sport/Race for the E90 M3, I really like the sound and look of this exhaust but maybe the quality is inferior? I don't know.. what materials do they use at Remus?

It's the only exhaust without a huge backbox (like OEM en Eisenmann), just 2 seperate mufflers.

I remember seeing a post/video of two mechanics installing a Remus system. we have a auto-hobby shop on the base and has just about every tool we need for most automotive work. How easy is this install for a Remus exhaust? Any chance of a screw up on the cutting of the OEM muffler? Any attached directions would be nice to review before purchase. Anyone got a scanned copy?

Cheers!

The REMUS exhaust systems are manufactured from 304 Stainless steel inside and out. The tips are higher grade stainless steel, 441, which is more resistant to corrosion and rust. Additionally, the tips are chrome plated and polished to ensure a long and lasting finish.

PM us for a quote.
