Pirelli P Zeros? or some other brand?

I currently have Pirelli's on my E46 and i think they hold up pretty well despite the horrible life and price. my other choices would be the OEM Pilot Sports, Dunlop Direzza sport Z1, Nitto Invo, Nitto NT05, and the Yokohama Advan Neova AD08

i have pzero neros and i dont think they are that great... was expecting more grip from them for such an expensive set of tires... my next set would prob be AD08s

You should consider the Bridgestone RE11s. I've been using them as my street tires for about three-four months and I really like them. I've done a couple track events with them and they're all more 'grippy' than the stock PS2s. Plus they're a good bit cheaper than the PS2s.

I've also heard good things about the NT05s, but have not driven with them.

I had Pirelli PZero, it's the new tire on the block, however my experience wasn't great, like Goodyear, their QC sucks, the tires had thin lines of rubber around parts of the tire and I think one of the belts was misaligned as there was a high speed shimmy I couldn't get rid of.

I now have the Bridgestone RE-11's, and they are awesome. Bridgestone also has excellent QC. I had the RE-01R's on my 335i before as well.

Go Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 and never look back

Are the RE-11's noticeably better than the PS2's on track?

This review seems to say that they are perfectly appropriate for the track:

But personal feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks.

^I've tracked the RE11s twice and I think they have better front end 'feel' compared to the PS2 which I tracked about five times before replacing. The RE11s also had surprisingly good traction when I ran a session in the wet.

The RE11s have more grip both on track or street, the only issue is that the PS2s will last you a whole lot longer. My RE11s are almost done and I will buy another set for the street along with a set of Hoosiers or BFGs on 18"s for the track.

I have tried the RE-11 and NT-05 both are great. But I would like to try AD08 just to see how it feels.

The PZero "only" not Nero, not Rosso, but just PZero is comparable to the M PS2. PZero Corsa is comparable to the Sport Cup but weighs a tad less than the Michelinīs.

Love the Z1 Star Spec. Not anything special for treadlife, but awesome for grip.
