Special M3 Tiger Edition Coming to China

BMW has been furiously releasing special editions recently, including the Frozen M3 Edition for S. Africa, 120i Performance Unlimited Edition for Japan, and E90 Dynamic Edition for S. Africa.

Bimmertoday is now reporting that BMW has plans to release a Limited M3 Tiger Edition to the Chinese market, to commemorate the current Year of the Tiger. Appropriately, the M3 Tiger Edition will feature the M3 GTS' fire orange metallic paint with black accented elements. Blacked out parts will include its style 359M 19" wheels, hood air inlets, kidney grills, and black chrome exhaust tips.

The interior will feature black leather Novilla with contrasting orange stitching. The front seat headrests will be embroidered with a unique tiger head emblem. And the door sill plates will bear a Tiger Edition Logo in fire orange metallic color. An estimated 250 copies will be produced. No details yet on any performance enhancements or photos, but stay tuned.

One thing is for sure, this will be a catchy and unmistakable M3!

How about the dollar bill or even a playboy version. It could have the playboy bunny on the headrests with velvet interior. Oh and we could add some special edition BBS 20 inch chrome spinners to spice it up.

Seriously, WTF!!! Yet if everyone got individual colors in and out of their ///M series they would make too much profit? Assbackwards thinking on BMWs behalf, larger market here and they can't give us what we want even when we WANT to give them 5gs on an interior or exterior request!!!

I would buy the Knight Rider Edition as long as it had the red light up front and could fly over obstacles.

How about a Dukes of Hazzard General Lee version. We could finally get orange but I guess the downside would be that the doors wouldn't open.

Seems like US customers always get shafted. We can get Individual here in Canada no problem, in fact its listed as an option in the online configurator as well.

Curious to see what this "Tiger" M3 will look like.
