Springs: Which is the lowest?

Which lowering springs give you the lowest drop?

Also how does a spring drop effect your EDC?

Thanks guys!

RD Sport is the lowest, neither of the springs on the market (RD Sport, Swift, B&G, Eibach or H&R) will trigger any codes.

KW's Sleeve kit is also worth mentioning, which will retain the factory EDC and allow you to dial in your desired ride height.

Tom, thank you so much for the response. Are you saying that I'll have issues with my EDC if I use lowering springs? Thanks again!

No, just the opposite. You'll be fine.

B&G are the lowest google search all the springs. Swift has a nice drop with factory like spring rates B&G is the lowest RD is the next lowest but a lil stuff H&R are very stiff and many don't like them ebiach doesn't even qualify for "lowering" there are a boat load of others but I spent 4 months researching to find the perfect spring and ended up going with the swift spec-r. I'm content but need more low. Coilovers are next on my list of things to do.

RD Sport and B&G are very similar in terms of ride height, I feel the ride on the street is best with B&Gs.

So Tom which of the springs are best IYO, i dont want the lowest probably the highest of the lowing spring(if that makes sense, lol) Really only interested in Swift, Eibach, and H&R, road are bad here my car had EDC and would like better track handling if i ever go, so a good street ride is important. Thanks

H&R = too rough
Eibach = almost the same ride height as stock
Swift = juuuuuust right in ride height and ride quality

vastano pretty much nailed it with his post above mine. I'll add the B&Gs will be a slight bit lower than the Swifts and retain OEM ride.

Pretty much everyone goes with the B&Gs and Swifts through the doors here, depending on personal taste.

B&G website states 0.5" front and 1" rear lowering? That doesn't seem like much?

http://b-gsuspension.com/searchapplicationguide.php5

Am I looking at the right B&G model? Also I am E93 and they don't list the specific application, will E92 springs work on convertible models?

Not sure why specs are different from Coupe/Sedan, the drop is about the same (1.2" F, 1.0" R). Coupe springs are compatible with Convertible.

My local tuner shop who has a decent amount of BMW experiences trashed on the B&G's saying they are no better than the old Intrax springs from the 90's quality wise.

He was suggesting the tried and true H&R, Eibach and or the KW coil over sleeves

I highly recommend Eibach's for a very noticeable drop while maintaining excellent ride quality. Definitely not the lowest but I loved the look/feel for the most part.

Hands down RD Sport springs are the lowest. Ride quality was like having both lights on for cars with EDC.

Between RD sport and Swift which would you recommend? Im on the market for springs but cant make up my mind. Is there much of any difference between RD Sport and Swift?

How many threads are you going to start about springs? Tom already answered in this thread, not to mention there are plenty of others to look for. Please read up on those.

Having said that, there's a few locals here running Swifts (me included) and we all love this setup.

Sorry man, I thought that's what these threads were here for. Just looking for opinions on the two different springs. If it was one too many posts on my part there was no need for you to take time out of your day to respond. But thanks for the info.

You gotta realize, for those of us who have been here for a while, that's all we see is repetitive posts about what springs and exhaust I should buy. There are a million threads out there with so much information.

And I was actually being nice by telling you about the Swift springs, rather than telling you to go search.

I apologize. Im new to the e92 M3 platform. So I guess when I didn't see a comparison between the two I continued posting about the subject. But I understand where your coming from. I apologize. And thank you for the info. Ill try doing a bit more research before I pull the trigger.
