How many of you still think...

How many of you still think the New M3 is still not as good or better looking than e46 M3?

First time I saw the New M3, I thought it was an ugly looking car - another BMW design failure! After few mos, and seeing the New M3 in person, everything changed! IMO - the New M3 is far better looking than 46 M3.

New M3 is way better looking and performing than previous version. Continuous improvement is the name of the game.

I always thought the new M3 looked better, although the E46 design is still classic. When i put them next to each other the E46 really looks a bit dated.

It's really a car you have to see in real life, pictures just don't do it justice.

The e92 M3 definately grew on alot of poeple. Me included, but I was never that negative about it in the beginning. However, now it is clear it is a much smoother cleaner looking car. The e46 is pretty boxy when you compare them side by side.

Looks

I agree with others that, now that we've been exposed to it for a while, it's looking better all the time and the E46 is looking more dated, but still a classic. I have not seen one in the flesh, yet, but I find myself looking at 335s and transforming them in my mind, and it's good! I saw a Space Gray one today, and I'm more and more sold on that color, even though it's not a unique M3 color.

+1 absolutely. I have been saying similar things about the 335i for some time. Ever since I saw one. They look so much better in person than in pics. SG FTW as well!

Love the e46, it's a beaut - but onward and upward; and I do believe the e92 is a cohesive design.

(will miss the classic in-line bimmer 6 ... but w/ rs4, c63 bmw had to up the ante).

can't go wrong with space grey greg...my 335i is that color and its awesome. i wouldn't do it again with the M3, but if it was my first one, it would definitely be space. holds up well in rain/snow/bad weather and sparkles beautifully in the sun.

Is that what you changed your order to? If so I am definitely going to have to drive up your way and have a look. It seems you are the first in So. Cal. and on the forum.
