Is the stock e90 & e92 muffler sections the same?
Is the muffler section of the stock exhaust the same on the e90 and e92? I was debating having the tips powder coated or ceramic coated black. But I dont want the car to sit in my garage for a week while its done.
My father has his e92 muffler sitting in the garage. I could send his out before I even get my car... But Im getting an e90. Also, anyone know of anywhere in the LA, San Fernando area that can do this? Ceramic i think would be best. Thanks, D |

Is this that dumb of a question? I figured I would get a pretty quick answer for something like this. Just couldent find it in other threads I searched.

No, the E90 is shorter then the E92.
The E92 exhaust will stick out like 3 inches on the E90.

Yes, sorry, Tightie is right on that fact. The internals are identical except for the tip lengths. The couple and sedan rear bumpers are shaped differently. But for your purpose, you can put on any exhaust and not have a problem, may just look a little funny.

They are identical except for the tips. The E90 tips are shorter.

Interesting... SO YEs I guess I could run the e92 muffler for the time that mine is being done. Then swap back.
This is just an idea, so well see what happens. D |
