Missing tools in the toolbox?
I got curious today and opened up the tool box in the trunk of the M. Noticed that there were only the tow hook (which doesn't want to snap into its holder) and a screw driver. There was a space for few other tools , which I didn't have. Am I missing these pieces or is this a generic part made for all e92s, which the empty spaces don't relate to the M3s?
The only time this car has been handled by anyone besides myself were the BMW techs... |

When I bought my 2012, I asked the sales agent about this. He checked and said that is all there is for Canadian cars. I'm not sure about the US. Oh, there was also the security lug adapter in the tray.

It's a generic tool pouch ... Not like in our first ever Bimmer a 1987 535is where the tool box is part of the trunk lid and every space has a tool in it.

BMW has gone cheap on us. All you get is screwed...er, a screw driver.
The top (loop) of the tow hook has to be slipped under the edge of the container. Then you should be able to push (force) the loop and threaded end into their respective places. Mine sits in it's place as we speak. |
