i'm lowered on eibachs with OEM 18's with 18mm front and 15mm rear with no rubbing. so you should be good to go with 15's all around.

Is there a consensus on the "recommended" spacer brand for the M3?

H&R, Macht Schnell, Rogue Engineering. Stick with those 3, and you'll be all right. I ran H&R Trak+ 15mm all 4 corners on my OE 19's, never had any rubbing issues or any major spacer-caused problems.

The only one thing I had to deal with was re-balancing my wheels. Spacers seem to amplify any imbalances that the wheel comes with from the factory, and if the factory did a lousy job balancing your wheels (like mine) then you will have to get them re-balanced.

Make sure that no matter what spacer brand you end up getting, that you get hubcentric ones. Oh, and please get extended lug bolts, your OE ones won't work very well with 15mm extra clearance to deal with.
