How to tell if car has bluetooth phone option?

I'm looking for a 2010/2011 M3 with Nav. I'm ok with not having the Combox, but I want to have the bluetooth phone option so I can use the hands-free option with my iPhone. How can I tell if the car has this?

Call up BMW NA Customer relations, give them the VIN, and ask?

Is there not a visual way to see this when looking at the car? Can this option be added later? If so, roughly how much does it cost?

I'm not talking about the combox upgrade.

Only visual method I'm aware of is looking at the window sticker since all the stuff is integrated. I'm not sure if it can be retro'd. Seems like BMW is making it more difficult to retro stuff these days. You might want to check with someone at EAS or one of the other forum sponsors and see what they say.

Can't you just go into the idrive settings menu and try and pair a phone?
