Did you buy one or are just guessing? Others have stated that you do not need to drill a hole.

there are a lot more of those on ebay... I think it's a bit too much for a little light though. It would be fair if it was 2 for 35 but not each.

Hey Everyone,
I have ordered four sets from Dozaiya's contact in China. I will try one set out, and will sell the other three on the forum to members so I can get some iTrader ratings. The alternative light that you have to drill a hole in your door to install, can be found on eBay for $30 per pair. The markup on the plug and play ones is for saving you the trouble of destroying your door to install. I will probably match that eBay price linked above of $35 each ($70 a pair), but will try to include shipping in that price. If you are interested, please shoot me a PM. |

I wonder if they fit E39's? There are 2 of these lights in the trunk, I wouldnt mind one of them being an M logo being lit down on the trunk floor.
Considering the fact that the courtesy lights on my car doors have cracked or broken, I am already in the market for new ones too. I wouldnt call this rice, but instead novelty. It's not gaudy or over the top.. pretty subtle and I am sure other people will point out how nice it is when they step out of your car. I may have to spend some time in the parts catalog comparing the factory lights across the models to see what series they fit. |

Lights Have Arrived
So I got the lights the other day, and installed them. Took all of ten minutes, 7 of which was trying to figure out the right way to insert the ///M logo film into the projector light so it displayed correctly on the ground (Position on the driver's side door is different than the passenger side door).
Definitely doesn't look rice. If the entire undercarriage of the car was lit up with light, THAT would look rice, this actually has a classy touch to it. Very simple to install, and good quality. However, I haven't received any PMs from people interested in them, so I don't know if I'll be ordering another batch. I don't want to order 10 sets, and get stuck with them. If there is enough interest, I can re-order them and get a group buy discount, and might be able to arrange $65 - $70 shipped. PM me if you're interested. If I don't get enough PMs by Sunday, I'll be pulling the plug. Let me know! Last edited by epbb; 06-14-2013 at 09:33 AM.. |

I just got mine and it came with a wire. I already put the light on my car and it works but I was wondering if anyone knows what that wire is for?

I'd get endlessly laughed at by all of my other car buddies if I rolled up to a meet with these. I get enough shit for driving a BMW, an M3 at that.
I do think they are really cool though.
