Couple of newbie questions on my radio

Hi everyone, I am a new owner of a 2009 e90 m3. I had a few questions about the radio that I was hoping you may be able to help me with.

1. For some reason, the satellite radio sounds much worse than the standard HD radio. It is almost the difference between analog vs. digital. Any ideas why?

2. Is there a way to have the radio default to the presets? For example, I have FM, AM, and Sat. stations in my presets. When I turn the car on, it always goes back to normal FM/AM presets, not my "Preset stations". I hope I am making sense here.

1- The satellite radio audio quality is not very good. In my case is the same as FM or a bit better.

2- Every time I start my M3 it always plays what I listened last time. Maybe you need a software update?
