Coded out EDC

Greetings and salutations all,

I was told when I had my EDC coded out that it had to be unplugged before it could be coded out. Does this mean if I plug it back in it will re-enable or do I actually need it coded? I am trading in the car shortly and put the stock suspension back on already.

Thanks for any input.

Can code it so it doesn't show errors when unplugged but works when plugged in.
