Crevier BMW car wash (so cal)

has any SoCal member here had a car wash at this dealer b4? I've brought my car twice for the complimentary car wash & they didn't seem to do a great job... I bought the car from them too.
Anyone had similar experience at any other dealer?

I bought my car from them and have the lifetime washes but I'm in sd so I wouldn't know hHaha overall I would never give any dealership my car because they are going to swirl it up but if you don't care go for it. Before I cared my local dealership washed my car and they did a good job always

Dealer & good car wash is a contradiction in terms.

My dealer has a touchless system that they run it through. I've seen what they do, but it doesn't get the car clean really at all. It just gets a little dirt off of the outside and you're left with a wet car that, once you drive away, slings dirt back onto the sides anyway. Pretty pointless.

I've always told them not to do it to mine anyway. You're better off doing it yourself.

This. Letting the dealer wash your car is just an invitation to get scratches on your paint.

I used to service my e86m there until warranty expired.

As noted, I always ask them to wash the rims (if its too black from brake dust) / clean the interior and that's it.

I'd wash the exterior myself when i get home.

I can tell you first hand that they are working on it. They are changing the operation of the carwash and some of the materials. I can tell you fri and sat are the worse due to the sheer volume of cars they wash, not that its a great excuse.

Thanks all for the inputs. In the mean time, I'm gonna stop taking my car there for a wash.

Mbauer, let us know when they've improved their carwash quality

They will never improve their quality as it probably already exceeds the expectations of 98% of the clueless owners that actually think they are getting a service. Never let a dealer or a third party wash your car unless you enjoy collecting swirls. Do you really think that they are actually "caring" for you car? They could give a damn. They are simply scraping the dirt off an object that you call your car. Wash it yourself the right way or have a professional detailer look after it. The "Free" washes will cost you more in the long run when comes to the cost of the paint correction that you will need in the future.

I bought my jet black e92 from Crevier and I noticed the initial detail was just coats of glaze and fillers. It looked decent for a JB on the lot but once I washed it myself, all the swirls appeared.
Never had a free car wash there as I live in San Diego. But when I take it to BMW of San Diego for service, I just leave a post-it on the speedometer saying please do not wash. Thank you.

From what I've seen, swirls/scratches will be on all non-USA BMWs, because they do get washed when at the VPC. If anyone's car doesn't have 'em, post a pic in some bright sun!

I think you could avoid the swirls if you do PCD on a X-model at Spartanburg. Although, they do put some wax on at PCD, so not sure if you can 100% avoid the scratches.

+1. I think swirls are inevitable on every car to some degree. It sure shows under bright sun. I'm glad I have AW.. It's less visible I guess

How come I don't believe that whatsoever? Are you washing them for the neighbors?
