2011 at $43.9k how?

This has been on autorader for a few weeks now and I can't understand why it's so cheap. I'm assuming something is wrong with it but just not shown in the listing.

Autotrader link

As you can see it's modified a fair amount as well, lip, trunk, etc.

Complete guess, but does it have a salvage title?

heavily modified, might not pass inspections, longevity and reliability, not easily established.

No they aren't. I havent seen much of any change within the last 6 months in e92 pricing honestly.

Must be a scammer. I had contacted a guy who was selling a M3 12-15K lower than market. He said that he was travelling a lot and was out of state but the car was local. The main catch was that he wanted to be paid by Google Checkout and had 5 days to get the car checked out and cancel the transaction if something was wrong!

modified car, also check VIN/Carfax, see if there's accident history...usually accident history would explain this type of deals.

Several weeks ago there were several posts about M3 offered on-line that were "questionable."

Bottom line is you need to have the car inspected.

When it seems too good to be true,..... it is.

Buy your preowned from a Reputable Dealer and always ask for a Car Check/Car Fax... not always accurate but gives some insight.

I live 30 minutes away from this dealer. STAY AWAY. They have been known to sell cars have salvaged titles and flood damage.

I'll just have to wait until they come down a bit more or go to Manheim (friend of a friend as it were). At this point I'm looking for next spring, may as well keep mine through the winter and not subject a new to me M3 to salt and snow.

out of curiosity, for those that are doing the research, what is the average going price for a M3? Manual tranny, coupe, premium, tech pkg, with edc.

I'm looking to buy one in a couple of months and in SoCal the average going rate that i have seen is around 45-49k for a 3 year old one with with around 30k miles.

I paid 60K for a 2011.5 ZCP, almost fully loaded with mods and 9K miles. GREAT price.

Pretty good sized dent in the driver side rear quarter panel, too.
