CEL Code P136P
Hi!
Got a CEL and limp mode the other day and pulled some codes today. I have code P1605, it is a general code that basically tells that there is several faults present and that power is restricted = limp mode I also have a code P136F which I have no idea what it means, not a single relevant hit on google... I´m turning the car in to my BMW dealer in the upcoming days. Any of you have an idea what the code means? Car has rough idle and feels a bit hesitant when getting on the throttle. My car is stock other than an akra slip on. If any of you have a clue, please chime in! |

It seems to be a catch-all code that's a symptom of another problem. I would take it to the dealer as it is labeled as "critical".

Going to the dealer next week. Kind of worried there is a major problem... Where did you find out what the code meant? In my non-expert experience the car should display several fault codes making it easier to troubleshoot. Again, thanks for your help! |

It's merely my interpretation of the wording in that thread I linked to. I agree that it is not very descriptive and you'll need a BMW-specific tool to read the exact error.

Got a call from BMW dealer today.
Fault codes due to a faulty ignition coil. Not sure whether code p136f is related to ignition coil.. let med get back about that. |
