How about the Miller Tavern parking lot.. it is just south of York Mills on the east side of Yonge. Still a very short distance south of the 401, and there is a nice Shell station at the corner of Yonge & York Mills for those who need to fill up before we head out.

I am probably going to be out in the west end already in the Lowville area,so I will just make my own way there.

I was thinking of the Bronte Go station as we used to Autocross there with the Corvette club and noise was a non issue there when we competed there.I am sure that other people might have suggestions that might also work out well so lets discuss.
I like this idea... looks like a huge parking lot!

Huge parking lot with a fair size lot in the south east corner that is connected.I am not even sure that the trains stop there on a Saturday. It should not attract much attention as it is right beside the rail line and the houses are well away on the south side of the tracks. It is in a industrial area so it should be quiet on a Saturday.

This is a very valid consideration. Burlington Mall especially the parking lot by the Bay is VERYYYY DEAD on saturdays which is why I suggested it but I also like the idea of Bronte GO station as it is in a fairly industrial area, and there is only 1 GO train that comes through there each hour on Saturdays. There are however a few GO buses and local buses but again I don't think that should cause any shuffle.

I'm assuming that GO Bronte would be cool with everyone?

Bronte GO Station would be cool with me.

I used to AutoX there when I was younger and one time the cops came out and took a spin on the course.

It was pretty awesome!

Hey guys,

Count me in on this meet. I'll be there for 2, wherever this meet ends up happening. I would also prefer a location closer to Toronto. I live in North York.

I have to meet my mom in Burlington for her birthday lunch. I'll try to come by after it's over, on my way back to TO.

I just checked out the Miller Tavern parking lot and it looks like a good place to meet... no gates to get in and a lot of space right off of Yonge.

So again may I suggest those of us near Yonge & 401 meet here between 12:30pm and 1:00pm, departing shortly after 1pm to get to the main event by 2pm?

Looks like the meet point is still under discussion. I would expect one of the organizers will put a confirmation post up here say on Friday evening to confirm

"Final Destination or is Final Destination now Firm?"

Or many of us might be confused and may not get into our cars and drive out.

Some recommend closer to Toronto ... if it ends up to be that then count me out I'm a 2 hour drive from Toronto ....

Cheers, Rolf

So looks like everyone is cool with meeting @ Bronte GO Station for Saturday. I wanted to do a search to see if there were any other events being held there this coming March 17th before changing the location and it doesn't look like there's any other car meets booked there this weekend. Bronte GO Station is ~6 miles east of our original spot (Burlington Mall) but as was pointed out is in a more industrial area and the parking lot should hopefully be just as deserted if not more than at Burlington Mall.

If there are any questions, just send me a PM

SEE YOU ALL AT BRONTE GO STATION ON SAT !!!
