My 2nd Le Mans Blue E92 Photo Shoot

I got my new Canon 5d Mark II and a bunch of other camera gear this week, and I just so happen to have a brand new Le Man Blue M3 laying around to shoot. I'm a novice at best, but I think I'm getting better. Le Mans, like Interlagos has quite a few different shades depending on the light.

Please excuse the quantity. I'm always wishing others posted more photos of their cars, so I figured I'd whore myself out. Feel free to flame away, but I'm guessing some will appreciate it.

For those interested, every shot was on a Gitzo 5 Series tripod/Really Right Stuff BH-55 Ballhead and Canon wired remote trigger using either Canon 24-70mm f2.8L and 70-200mm f2.8L both with a B+W Kaesemann Circular Polarizer or 50mm f1.2L no polarizer. I'm no expert, but I have good stuff. I don't have any portable lights, so the sun was what I had. Hence, many of them being so dark as I shot at 8:30 AM.

I haven't figured out shooting interiors yet. I have a couple in my first post.

Thanks for the previous inspiration. Your car made me get Le Mans instead of Space Gray, and I couldn't be happier. That, and my wife wouldn't let me get a replica of the S2000 with Silver/Red.

Very nice! Definitely a lot of pics! BTW, what is maintenance like on the LMB? I would imagine it's hard to keep clean?

It's not bad. It is just light enough to not show dirt like black would. I'm using a Boar's Hair brush when I wash it to ensure I don't get swirl marks.

good to know...

however, Boar's Hair brush sounds somewhat abrasive?

Nope, it won't hold dirt in like a sponge or wash cloth. I used this for the entire exterior. The paint on the Audi and Honda is not nearly as soft as the BMW, so I just use wash pads from Adam's.

Bugs are really bad in FL and you can't push and scrub with a boar's hair brush, so I clean the windshield and front bumper with the brush first then I like these after I've rinsed and refoamed to get the bugs off.
