I believe it means that it is at the production center waiting for a truck to take it to the port where the status will change to "waiting for a shipping vessel".

Id say 5 weeks for east coast after production is done. To many factors though, depends how long you wait for a boat which can range from 1-3 weeks at the port of exit. Then 2.5 weeks at sea, then if no damage while shipping usally about 4 days from entry port to delivery.

I am at the port of exit as well. When I ordered my 330 in 06' the whole process took 30 days. That was from ordering the car to taking delivery of the car. I ordered the M3 on May 7th, so i'm almost at the 2 month mark now. I see that there is a ship that leaves tomorrow that arrives in New York on the 16th...Lets hope!

My car has shipped according to the BMW NA phone system. I am guessing that I am on the Bess, but my salesperson is out today, so I don't know for sure.

The 800 number still says that my car is at the port waiting for a ship. WTF! My car has been at the port since the 27th of June. And The WW shipping website doesn't let me track my car. The screen never pops up, anyone else having this problem?

I might be on the Bess, because I see that boat left yesterday and is due to arrive in New York on the 20th. Either way, she's on her way over here which is sweet!
