OEM Exhaust Mod Done

So, I had this done this morning and I'm trying to upload the video, but it's too big. Once I have the video trimmed, I'll upload it then.

I had the tips powder coated black so you can't see the residue build up. It definitely changed the looks of it.

As for the sound. When idling, you could tell anything was done but not too loud. But as soon as you step on the gas, it's a whole difference world.

Did you replace just the large perforated pipes or also the smaller pipes that are already wrapped?

I did the ACM method.

http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=609687

I bypassed the middle chamber entirely.

been told this method produces a louder/deeper sound.

Can't Upload 13 second video

I've tried many times and unable to upload the video. Maybe it's my lousy internet connection at work. I'll try again once I get home later tonight.

I had all four perforated pipes replaced and the fiberglass restuffed into the middle chamber. I like the way it sounds, not too loud but definitely meaner than stock. Reminds me of a factory C63 in some ways.

I had the ACM version done and i have to say its unbelievable. Definately aggressive as hell too. Awesome sound, but no way a cop should bother you unless your driving like an asshole. Anyone who is looking for pure sound and spends 2-3 g's on a muffler over this is insane, because this sounds as good and if not better then the nicest sounding mufflers i have heard for this car.

Just got the acm done as well in Miami at Speed Sho and i have to say is WOW . Thing is amazing sounds so good. The cold start sounds like a freaking monster coming to life. The guys at speed shop here in Mia really hooked it up, they did an amazing job. Only thing i regret is not having some nice tips to replace the oem ones, if anyone know a good place for them i would love to know. Also i dont see a reason why a cop would pull u over for the mod , unless ur really doing some serious speeds . Would recommend to all looking for that extra sound at a very low price

Yes. Bypass method sounds 100x better than no muffler at all.

Couldn't tell. When I drove with the muffler, it sounded so terrible that I didn't want to get on it. Plus it was only a 5 min drive to the muffler shop.

interesting, the reason im asking this i recently did the muffler delete and lost so much torque and its too loud. So acm or bypass mod might be the same. Therefore i might just do the preforated mod

Oh in terms of OEM exhaust mod, no power loss at all. A full muffler delete on the other hand yes, I would expect it to lose some torque.

Nope, not that I could tell and I had it for about 8 months. IMO still one of the best sounding exhausts out there too.

I didn't to be honest. I went straight for bypass method, and it sound absolutely amazing. Would still have it on my car if I didn't go full catless.
