Last time I was in Vegas, I was half a point from winning a 5 team parlay. 15 though?!?

If you know what you're doing, 2 or 3 game parlays aren't too hard to win.

Like a month and 500% profit. I'm willing to risk $20-25k to make $1 million.
Options are your best choice for leveraging your money for that sort of return.

I really thought long and hard what was the best investment for this amount of money. I really think that taking this lump sum in cash and going to the strip club would be your best bet. Swing by and pick me up so I can help you with the transaction.

If you won't make anything on it do you have something you're paying interest on you can pay off to save that money?

buy real estate, repair it to brand new, and sell it. Can turn $25k into $100k pretty easy with a Hard Money loan and about 4 months of work.

$25k will get you a parking space in NoVA. Cheap real estate doesn't exist here.

Do you own a house? If so I'd invest that money by improving things around the house. Use it to increase the square footage, update appliances - add things like solar or wind turbines and cut your electric bill down to nothing, and on good days sell your electricity back to the grid... change your hot water heater to a tank-less on demand one etc... finish your basement.

By the time you've outgrown your house you can sell it for a good amount more than what you bought it for most likely and you get the benefit of enjoying your living space.

- just a thought.

I own a townhouse. I've done some recent minor upgrades, but this is a good idea.

LEVERAGE the 25k. With a hard money loan $25k can get you half a million all day long. Pay 10% mo interest only until the project is complete.

Well, go play blackjack. Double or nothing a few times and if you win 4 straight times, you'll be at 400,000$ which has a 1 in 16 chance. That'll take less time and you'll have better odds with that than the market or Lottery. Too bad you have a 15/16 chance you'll end up with nothing.

If I were you and didn't need the money for a while, I would look into tax free municipal bonds, but make sure the insurer is in god financial standing. Also might want to take a look at corporate bonds. Depending on the risk you are willing to take the yield can be very good but risky. Compound interest can get exciting after a few years......

*this is not financial advice simply my opinion.

Short term? Massive returns of 25k?

This would either have to be a very risky stock market move or some sort of business idea that takes off.

Don' waste your time on bonds.
Don't waste your time on options espiecially since you have no idea what you are doing.
Don't waste your time on real estate esp with 25k.

If you want quick money then do something illegal.

25k isn't very much money nowadays.. Cash is king.
