I can't wait for the warm weather, so I can throw my ZCP 19's back on. I just got my jack pad adapter earlier this week, so I am ready to go...

I am shooting for one of the first two weekends in April to switch back over...

Really tired of this snow and cold weather. One thing for sure, I'm going to enjoy this summer to the MAX. I think we all deserve to enjoy this on coming up.

My car should be ready by May.

No love for Rhode Island?

Have been driving the M3 with summers all winter long. Only on dry roads. I know all the hysteria about summers in the winter, but they have much more grip than people think.

Our 535xi with PS2 was downright scary in the snow. I bought a set of snow wheels for it, though it would have been OK on all seasons if I wanted to compromise and give up the summer wheels. No way would I drive on summer tires in winter. My M3 is on snow wheels also.

even with an XI, running summers in the snow is always a no-no. Heck, summers + snow is always a no no. All seasons would fare a lot better

I would beg to disagree all season. The conti DWS is a fantastic tire. I run them right now with a 265/30 and 285/30. Tons of grip, meaty and speed rates at over 155...considering we have maybe 5 months of warm enough weather these are great tires.

Does not mean I don't run summers though. Will be moving to a 265/30 and 295/30 or a 305/30 if the offsets permit. Run 305s on my 3 piece wheels but the 25 series and the 20s just feel a bit off on this car and I don't like the cornering performance with 20s

Don't get me wrong, they are great tires. I think they are just not for me when it comes to high performance cars

Agreed. But if you take the science into consideration and what a PSS needs to be able to create good grip, these are a good tire to throw onto the car, enjoy the cars capabilities in the road, without endangering yourself or someone else. This car is tail happy and I have remembered a few occasions over the years where I thought my summers were warmed up enough and the weather was warm enough, road etc and they were really greasy. Not to mention if its a cold damp morning.

I just bought some PS2s. Love the performance on them. A bit on the pricey side though.

Ideally, I would have 3 sets of wheels. Summer, Winter and Early Spring/Late Fall. I would consider all seasons for the Early Spring/Late Fall. I have felt the grip on my PS2 diminish on cold days. But I have only two sets, so it is Summer from about March 15 to December 15 for me.

World of wheels is in Boston this weekend. Sometimes some decent stuff there.. The scions with 50 grand in neon lights and stereos don't do it for me, but there is some other good stuff if anyone wants to go in the morning on Sunday or tomorrow..

That's why the DWS by conti is the best of winter/fall/ early spring.. Don't get me wrong I have more sets of tires than I know what to do with. got a set of blizzaks that have barely been used, brand new set of conti 5p..the new conti semi slicks for track..hankook v12 for the 20s and Michelin PSS for the 20s now these DWS which are on Dinan offset BBS CHRs.. i have put about 700 miles on the DWS since i bought them and they are pheoneminal. Especially with the S/C they have given tons of team toon during the winter when it was nice enough to drive the car. But we all know time is valuable and I still have not invested in a decent enough torque wrench and lift for the car to swap them off without going and back and forth to the shop. Dumb on my part really.

ayjaoo is on these forums like crazy buying everything in sight!! Smart man and seen him get some good stuff pre owned and in good shape. So maybe that's where he got the good price.. No much of a price drop when it comes to tires in the market.

I would still say the PSS is better than the PS2. Conti 5ps for me I think handle wet weather better, but can be greasy if you don't warm the up every time you drive on them. Very quiet as well. Then again I don't hear much road noise when I constantly have the car sitting at 4000RPM. Not even my girlfriend yelling at me do I have to leave it in that rev range all the time..hah i kid..

Cheers fellas and if anyone is interested this weekend I am open
