Since I'm lucky enough to be in Europe with an M3, I'm planning a trip from the UK all the way to my home in Rome, Italy. In September next year and hope to make the Monza Formula-1 race. On the way down or back up, not sure yet, I plan on going to the ring.

How much does it cost? How much is each lap? I've seen some web pages and the prices are crazy or am I looking at the wrong thing?? I looked at this web page and it seams a bit high or what??

http://www.nurburgring.com/

http://www.nuerburgring.de/home.324.0.html
The cost for driving a single lap of the Nordschleife is €21 for each car or motorcycle. Multi-lap tickets can be purchased for a lower per-lap price, such as 4 laps at a cost of €70 (€17.50 per lap). Additional multi-lap prices are 8 laps for €135, 15 laps for €235, or 25 laps for €370

Its not expensive, a lap of the Nurburgring is PRICELESS!!!

Hi Tony,

Great to meet you man!! We had a great time and hope you did too. My car was awesome round the Ring and I got a couple of dry laps! Yes, I saw the Porsche crash but didn't see you either. I couldn't help but take a pic of my car next to yours!!

Will be back next year for sure!

Nice, I only did two laps that day cuz my clutch completely gave up on me. Luckly, I was able to drive back. My baby is in the shop right now waiting on BMW to replace the clucth. Hopefully, I'll be able to pick her up when I get back from leave. Btw, I got some pics of your car too and we caught the crash on film. I'll post them later.

Belgium was great fun mate. Perhaps meet up with us in Summer 2009 when we plan to do a Euro Road Trip incorporating NINE COUNTRIES IN NINE DAYS!!

And that includes a day at the Nurburgring.

The countries will be France, BELGIUM (lol), Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Luxembourg.

Highlights will include:
- Spa-Francorchamps Race Circuit
- Nurburgring
- BMW Museum in Munich
- Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria (most photographed castle in Europe)
- The Stelvio Pass (best driving road in Europe according to Top Gear)
- Lake Garda in Italy
- San Bernadino Pass through Switzerland (another superb driving road)
- Lake Constance

I already have a lot of interest from other European members on the forum!

Not that I have anything against my native country but what the hell do you plan to do in the Netherlands with a bunch of Petrolheads. The country is absolutely infested with radars and other speed-traps .

The Stelvio mountain pass is an absolute stunner! Did it this summer when my M3 was just broken in. On that road with it's 100's of hairpin corners the M-DCT truly showed it's value added. An automotive orgy bringing you up to 2.800 meters above sea-level by car. The two sides are very different and should be enjoyed both of course. I did up and down twice.

Some pictures:
