275/30 and 295/30
About to pull the trigger for some Michelin PSS tyres tomorrow. I have 2013 E92 ZCP M3, OEM suspension.
Did tons of searches. Quite confident that E92 ZCP will do fine with front 265/30 and rear 295/30 I'm not so confident about front 275/30. Those of you running 265/30s and 275/30s front, do you get any rubbing when cornering under load ? The only reason for trying 275 is to get the OD similar to the rear. Any help is appreciated ! |

What wheels are you installing those tires onto? If you are installing them on ZCP wheels I would not recommend it. ZCP wheels are only 9" and 10" wide. Those widths are too narrow for 275/295's. It can be done and it is within spec for most tires but it's still not ideal. Tire performance is best when the tire and wheel widths are well-matched - allowing the wheel to support the tire's side-wall. I think that 255/35/19 and 275/35/19 are a much better match for ZCP wheel widths. That being said, I have run 275/30/19 Yokohama AD08's (which run very wide and square) on 9" front wheels with an offset of et20. No rubbing for me. The OEM ZCP fronts are et31; so I had the equivalent of a 12mm spacer with a ZCP wheel. Based on my experience, the tire sizes will work but again, I wouldn't recommend it.

ZCP Wheels.
I understand them to be 9" front which may be too much of rubber with 275. Just trying to figure out if I can achieve same OD with 295s in the back. |

What do you mean by "same OD with the 295"? A 275/30/19 is very close in OD as the OEM 245/35/19 tires but not the same as the 295/30/19. That being said, I try to run tires with OD's that are as close as possible to OEM. At the very least, I make sure the rear OD is equal to or larger than the front OD. The 275/295 combo is great in that it does offer the closest OD's to stock with larger tires.

Which is why I'm leaning towards 275/30 instead of 265/30. I just need to know if 275/30 front will rub when under high corner load. |

Running 275/295 PSS on E92 ZCP with no issues. Ever so slight rubbing on rears with hard cornering when they were brand new, but it wasn't even audible and seems to have rubbed off enough to have stopped.

I ran 275/30 AD08s up front on 9" wide front, only minor rubbing, but it was too wide for the wheel. Lost steering feel, felt very heavy and when pushed hard (esp at the track) did not perform well. I downsized to 255/35 & 285/30 and am very happy. Have basically the same grip with much better feel, no rubbing at all and perfect appearance.

The reason why I asked if these tyres would rub is because there is a difference between driving around daily and driving around the track. At tire's traction limit, the suspension will be under higher compression as compared to daily driving which then increases risk of rubbing. Thanks for your feedback ! |

Due to lack of tire stocks(3-4 mths wait), its either OEM sizes or Front: 255/35, 265/30, 275/30 Rear: 275/35, 295/30 My preferred choice is still 255/35 and 285/30 GTS set up. I know 255/275 can be done but I want a minimum of 285 in the rears for ZCP. I will go with 265/295 set up. Thanks for your feedback ! |

Most definitely will! Tires came in yesterday still waiting on the wheels, I was told 4 to 5 weeks on the wheels, so I still have at least 2 weeks left for the wheels to arrive.

Why not 275/35/18 in the front?
