New here, so be, please be nice. I know this platform is tried and true and has known power levels from stock to stock-ish. I want to report what running full E85 looks like on an otherwise stock car.

I've seen 320whp to claims of 340ish on stock cars. Given drivetrain loss of 15%, that makes sense if your car is healthy.

I added the Advance Fuel Dynamics E85 kit and have been running 79-81% ethanol. I visited the guys at Haus of Power, and their dyno registered 347whp on the second run. Not bad for no tune or other bolt-ons. So I am guessing the car was probably putting down 325-335ish on 91oct.

The following steps are to get that stage 2 BPM tune and get these test pipes fitted and go again—shots out to Stryker Performance for the link and Thiago at Haus of power for the dyno.

We didn't do TQ but given the thousands of other S65's results it's somewhere in the 260-270 range.

Nice report, and pics. It's good to know the OEM E9X fuel pump has the additional capacity needed to supply the extra fuel volume for the wider OEM injector pulse width when running E85. BMW uses the same fuel system in Brazil (and other parts of the world) where ethanol is the prevalent fuel - so it sort of makes sense that not much else is needed except the Advance Dynamics kit.

There are some older threads out there about the ProFlex Commander Kit that might include DynoJet charts. So definitely worth a search. I'd say there's more ponies waiting to come out once the primary cats are removed (or replaced with test pipes). Just doing that often yields about 15 to 20 RWHP alone. Add on top of that some high flow secondary cats (<= 200 cells per square inch [CPSI]) and perhaps 25 to 30 more RWHP can be unleashed. I'm thinking the right E85 tune is gonna' be key to make use of the 105 Octane (RON R+M/2) that E85 usually provides. I'm pretty sure Mr. Benvo is your man for that BPMSport

There's also the S65 Dyno Database showing what power can be made from stock to FBO to FBO + SC. The database headers include filters for sorting as well as each Dyno chart.

Click the DynoJet Tab then "find all stock cars" in the S65 database header field to see those RWHP numbers.

Would be nice if you could also dyno with conventional pump gas to see if there is any delta. I'm guessing your car makes the same dyno number with 93 octane. Slightly less on 91.

I have an e85 at the pump nearby. Didnt know I could completely fill up on e85. Not that I want to, so thanks for being our Guinea Pig.

Sorry for any confusion. You can *not * completely fill up the tank without the ProFlex Commander kit being installed. That kit contains a "black box" which tricks the DME. Other threads have discussed that the max E85 a stock USA Spec E9X M3 can handle without limp mode is about 3 to 4 gallons with the remainder of the tank (12 to 13 gallons) being 93 Octane (R+M/2).

The Brazilian market cars probably have a DME software difference to handle the ethanol fuel in that market place. IMO what's good to know is the ProFlex Commander kit returns that flexibility to the car - especially given the escalation in gas prices. Link to ProFlex Commander Kit:

"The patented ProFlex™ Commander adaptive flex fuel system for BMW E90/E92/E93 M3 allows you to start making more power and running cooler with E85. True plug and play flex-fuel for your BMW in about an hour with no tuning required. E9x M3 owners can expect 25-30 additional wheel horsepower when running E85."
